For example, if you have a 24V power supply generating light for 12V strips, you’re best getting a 12V power supply to match, or alternatively look for a good-quality converter.
Another possible reason why your LED strip lights are overheating could be because there’s a short circuit. If you have a short, it can prove more difficult to amend. Splitting the solder with a Stanley knife is the easiest way to stop entwined connections from touching.
