It means the holes where you cut to install your lights are resealed, reinforcing your ceiling to delay the spread of fire. With this, everyone inside your home will have adequate time to escape and minimise the damage to your home's structure. Also, it is ideal for web and I-joist ceilings for 30 minutes of protection.
Installing our fire-rated downlight is a breeze. The process is quick and straightforward, with its twist and lock mechanism, push-fit connectors, and a screwless terminal block. Plus, it's mains-powered, eliminating the need for a separate LED driver or transformer. Wire the fittings directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb, and you're ready! With our downlight, you can be confident in setting it up quickly. Additionally, it is insulation-coverable when fitted with a GU10 lamp with a maximum power of 7w, allowing heat to exit the home fast and reducing warmth.
Before you start any trims, it's important to note that our downlight has a height of 113mm and a diameter of 90mm, requiring a 75mm cut-out hole. Getting these measurements right ensures a proper fit and prevents the light from falling off your ceiling.
The downlight is fixed and IP20-rated, meaning it can only be used indoors, away from water sources, and cannot change the direction of the light beam. It is suitable for various areas but requires careful placement and careful placement of fixtures. Also, it has an open-can design, which ensures that the bulb you use with it can last for years!
This LED downlight does not include bulbs, but it's made with a GU10 holder, so you can use any GU10 bulb. However, since it's a dimmable fixture, it's better to use a dimmable GU10 bulb paired with a compatible dimmer switch so you can utilise the dimming function!
