Fire-rated downlights like this have an intumescent pad that activates when exposed to a specific temperature, blocking even the tiniest crevices where the fire may slip through.

Cool white and natural white are ideal for task lighting, while warm white light is suitable for ambient lighting due to its yellowish tint. However, since the downlight is dimmable, we suggest choosing a dimmable GU10 bulb and pairing it with a compatible dimmer switch!
