This LED downlight is fire-rated to 90 minutes, ensuring that the hole you cut to mount the fixture is resealed and your ceiling is strengthened to extend the time when the fire will spread. This precautionary measure allows you and your family to exit safely and reduces damage to your home's structure. Fire-rated downlights like this have an intumescent pad that activates when exposed to a specific temperature, blocking even the tiniest crevices where the fire may slip through.

Cool white and natural white are ideal for task lighting, while warm white light is suitable for ambient lighting due to its yellowish tint. However, since the downlight is dimmable, we suggest choosing a dimmable GU10 bulb and pairing it with a compatible dimmer switch!
