Since this is powered by LED technology, although you're fixture looks antique, it's not as energy-consuming as traditional bulbs!
Installing this LED downlight will not be challenging because it is mains powered. Just wire it directly to the mains circuit and add a bulb. Easy-peasy! Just keep in mind that this downlight is 108 mm tall and 80mm in diameter and requires a 55mm cut-out hole. You have to get the measurements right because if not, your downlight will not fit, or it can fall off your ceiling. Both cases are not ideal for recessed downlights!
There are no bulbs supplied with this LED downlight. However, since it's dimmable, coupling it with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch will enable you to utilise its dimming function. In addition, this LED downlight is fire-rated, meaning the holes you cut to mount your fixtures are resealed, extending the time when the fire will spread.
