Plinth lights that shine down

Most plinth lights point straight out from the kickboard. These have an eyelid hood that directs the light down onto the floor, so you see a soft wash of light rather than a bright point. They suit kitchen kickboards, islands and bathroom plinths.

What's in the kit

You get four eyelid plinth lights and the LED driver to run them. Wire the driver to the mains and use a light switch, or fit a plug to its cable and use a spare socket. The driver has a 900mm cable, and each light has a 2m cable that runs back to the driver.

Light

The four lights use 4w between them and give 240 lumens of natural white light at 4000K, a neutral tone that is neither yellow nor blue. Average life is 30,000 hours.

Two ways to fit

Recess the lights into a 28mm hole for a flush finish, or use the surface spacers in the kit to mount them on the face of the plinth. The brushed chrome finish suits modern and traditional kitchens alike.

Kitchens and bathrooms

The lights are rated IP44, so as well as kitchens they can go in zone 2 of a bathroom. They are not dimmable.
