Power for a larger set of 12V decking lights

This 30W LED driver runs low voltage 12V decking lights. Connect the lights, plug the driver into a socket and they're ready to go, with no wiring needed.

How many lights

Add up the wattage of the lights you want to run and keep it below 30W, with a 10% to 20% margin so the driver doesn't overheat. For example, 0.5w decking lights would total 30W at 60 lights, so plan for fewer. Only use 12V lights with this driver; 24V or mains lights won't work and can be damaged.

Connecting

A twist-to-connect male connector joins straight to the lights or to the female connector on a controller.

Built for outdoors

The driver is rated IP67, so it's sealed against dust and can cope with brief submersion in shallow water. It can sit under decking boards or anywhere out of sight in the garden.

Fitting

The 1.8m cable gives you some reach to the nearest socket. At 140 x 50mm and 35mm thick, the driver is small enough to tuck out of sight. If you're unsure about installing it, ask an electrician.
