Lights that switch themselves

This PIR sensor mounts on the ceiling surface and switches the lights on when it detects movement, then off again after the time you set. It suits kitchens, hallways, landings, stores and other rooms where lights get left on. As it's surface mounted, there's no hole to cut.

Detection

The sensor sees movement all the way round (360°), up to 12m away at temperatures below 24°C. It picks up walking pace movement of 0.6 to 1.5m/s.

Set it up your way

Set the time delay from 10 seconds to 15 minutes. The light level setting, from under 3 to 2000 lux, decides how dark it has to be before the sensor turns the lights on, so they don't come on in daylight.

Manual override

To keep the lights on and bypass the sensor, turn the wall switch off and on again within 3 seconds. If the override is left on, the sensor switches back to automatic mode by itself after 8 hours. The full steps are in the instructions supplied.

Load

It switches up to 300w of LED lighting or up to 1200w of traditional lighting.

Fitting

The sensor is 88mm across and 55mm deep. It runs on 220-240v mains and is rated IP20, so fit it indoors in dry areas. Have a qualified electrician fit it.
