This downlight passes all relevant BS standards and is insulation-coverable (given that you pair it with an LED GU10 lamp with a 7w maximum). It allows you to cover its rear with loose loft insulation, which helps reduce heating and electric bills. This LED downlight is also suitable for I-joist and web joist ceilings, providing 30 minutes of protection, and is fire-rated to 30, 60, and 90 minutes for solid joist ceilings.
Installing our IP65 fire-rated downlights is a breeze, thanks to the completely screwless installation and the large loop in/out terminal block with push-fit connectors. This design saves your electrician time and energy and ensures a hassle-free mounting process. Do note or inform your electrician that this LED downlight has a length of 113mm (including the push-fit terminal) and a 90mm diameter that requires a 75mm cut-out hole.
We do not include the bulbs with this downlight as standard because everyone has different light preferences. So, to better accommodate your needs, we opted to leave them out to give you the freedom to choose what suits your needs. However, since the fixture is dimmable, we suggest adding a dimmable GU10 bulb with an LED-compatible dimmer switch to utilise the dimming function.
