An exit sign for escape routes

This LED emergency exit sign lights up when the mains supply fails and keeps going for 3 hours, so people can find their way out. The legend can be read from up to 22m away, so it works in long corridors and large open spaces. It suits corridors, stairwells, offices, shops, warehouses and other escape routes. Four legends come with it, including left and right arrows, so one sign model can point the right way at every exit.

Maintained or non-maintained

You can set the sign up to suit the building. In maintained mode it stays lit all the time and carries on when the power goes, which is usual in public and shared spaces. In non-maintained mode it stays off until the mains fails, which uses less power where the sign doesn't need to be lit all the time.

Built for tough spaces

The housing is IP65-rated polycarbonate, so it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. That makes it suitable for warehouses, industrial units and covered outdoor areas as well as indoors. It works between -20°C and +45°C and measures 346mm x 107mm x 60mm.

Light and battery

The SMD LEDs give 140 lumens from 3W in cool white (6400K) with a 120° beam, and CRI is above 80 so the legend stays easy to read. A 3.6V 1200mAh Ni-Cd rechargeable battery provides the backup. A full charge takes about 24 hours.

Fitting

Mount it on a wall or ceiling, above an exit, along a corridor or at a junction. It connects straight to 220-240V AC mains, with no separate power supply. A green indicator light shows the unit's status at a glance.
