Dual Purpose IR Sensor for LED Cabinet Lights, Door or Swipe Mode, 12-24V DC

Lights that come on when you need them

This small infrared sensor switches LED lights on and off automatically. Fit it in a kitchen cupboard, wardrobe, walk-in closet or under a bathroom vanity, and you won't be hunting for a switch with full hands.

Door or swipe

A switch on the side of the sensor sets the mode. In door mode, opening the door turns the lights on and closing it turns them off. In swipe mode, wave your hand in front of the sensor to turn the lights on or off. You don't need to touch it, which helps when your hands are wet or covered in flour.

Power and load

The sensor works with 12V or 24V DC LED lighting. It handles up to 100W at 12V DC or 200W at 24V DC. Add up the wattage of everything connected and keep it within the limit for your voltage; overloading can damage the sensor and the lights. Check the supply voltage and connections before fitting, as matching the voltage alone doesn't confirm it will work with your lights.

Fitting

Surface mount the sensor, or recess it into a hole for a flush finish. The detection range is 7cm, which suits doors and hand swipes. It has a 2m cable. It's rated IP20, so keep it in dry indoor spaces.
