A new LED heart for an old bulkhead

This gear tray replaces the old or broken tray inside a bulkhead fitting and turns it into an LED light, so you don't have to throw away a fitting that still works. It suits hallways, stairwells, entrances and shops, at home or at work. It is a gear tray only.

Pick the colour

A CCT switch sets warm white 3000K for a relaxed feel, natural white 4000K for tasks and everyday use, or cool white 6500K for crisp, bright light.

Output

The tray uses just 8w and spreads its light over a wide 120° beam, so a few fittings cover a large area without dark spots. The LEDs are flicker-free with a CRI above 80, and sit on an aluminium circuit board. Average life is 30,000 hours.

Fitting

The tray runs straight from 220-240v mains, with no transformer or driver. Wires push into the 3-way or 4-way quick-fit terminals, so there's no fiddly wiring. If you're not used to electrical work, use a qualified electrician.

Things to know

The tray is rated IP20 on its own, so it should be fitted inside a bulkhead housing. It is not dimmable, and has no sensor or emergency function.
