Emergency light for exits and escape routes

This twin spot emergency light stays off in normal use and comes on automatically when the mains fails, lighting escape routes, fire exits, warehouses, garages and corridors for over 3 hours. It is non-maintained, so it only draws power to charge its battery until it is needed.

Bright cool white light

Two heads with 30 SMD LEDs between them give 300 lumens of cool white light at 6000K from 6w, so people can see where they are going. It is not dimmable.

Battery

A 9.6V 2200mAh Ni-Cd battery gives the backup time. It charges in 24 hours, or 36 hours when new, at 150-180mA, and discharges at 400-600mA in emergency mode. Average LED life is 20,000 hours.

Indoors or outdoors

Rated IP65, the unit is sealed against dust and water jets, so it can go on outside walls as well as indoors. It works in temperatures from -20°C to +45°C.

Fitting

The white polycarbonate body is light and tough, and mounts on a wall. It measures 296 x 75 x 272mm and runs on 220-240V AC. It meets BS5266 testing standards. Have a qualified electrician fit it and check it against your emergency lighting plan.
