Lights that come on when you walk in

Each of these three round dome bulkheads has a microwave sensor that switches the light on when it picks up movement, and a daylight sensor that keeps it off when there's already enough natural light. They suit flats, communal halls, stairwells, porches, garages and driveways, anywhere lights are often left on in empty spaces.

Sensor settings

The sensor covers 360° when the light is on a ceiling, or 120° on a wall, and detects movement 3 to 6 metres away, at walking speeds of 0.5 to 3 metres per second. You can set the daylight level (daylight, 50, 25, 10 or 2 lux) and the hold time, from 5 seconds to 30 minutes.

Emergency backup

A built-in LiFePO4 3.2V 2Ah battery keeps each light on for more than 3 hours if the mains fails. In standby it uses just 1.2w.

Brightness and colour

At 20w each light gives 2600 lumens, or 130 lumens per watt, over a 110° beam, with a CRI over 80. You can also set it to 8w or 16w for less light, and choose warm, natural or cool white. The lights are not dimmable. Average life is 30,000 hours.

Tough and weatherproof

The white polycarbonate body is rated IP65 against dust and water jets and IK08 against impact, so the lights can go outside or in busy areas where they might get knocked.

Fitting

The lights run on 220-240V mains. Have a qualified electrician fit them.
