An LED sensor tray for an existing bulkhead

This gear tray replaces the old or broken tray inside a bulkhead fitting and turns it into an LED light with a motion sensor. It's a quick way to update bulkheads in hallways, stairwells, garages and other areas people pass through, without replacing the whole fitting. It is a gear tray only.

Light only when it's needed

A built-in microwave sensor switches the light on when it detects movement, so the light isn't left burning in an empty space and you don't need to reach for a switch.

Pick the colour

A CCT switch sets warm white 3000K for a relaxed feel, natural white 4000K for everyday use, or cool white 6500K for crisp, bright light.

Output

The tray gives 1725 lumens from 16w over a wide 120° beam, so one fitting covers a good area. The LEDs are flicker-free with a CRI over 80, and sit on an aluminium circuit board. Average life is 35,000 hours.

Fitting

The tray runs straight from 220-240v mains through an isolated driver. Wires push into the 3-way or 4-way quick-fit terminals, so there's no fiddly wiring. It works in temperatures from -10°C to +40°C. If you're not used to electrical work, use a qualified electrician.

Things to know

The tray is rated IP20 on its own, so it should be fitted inside a bulkhead housing. It is not dimmable and has no emergency function.
