10 Pack White Fire Rated GU10 Downlights, Fixed, Open Can, IP20

Ten downlights for a room or two

This pack of 10 fixed fire rated downlights suits a kitchen, a living room or a small renovation. Each has a white bezel and takes a standard GU10 lamp, so you choose the colour of light.

Fire rating

They are fire rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes in solid joist ceilings, and 30 minutes in web and I-joist ceilings. Each fitting has an intumescent pad that swells when heated and seals the gap around the hole, restoring the ceiling's fire protection.

Lamps and dimming

Fit any GU10 lamp. To dim the lights, use dimmable GU10 lamps with a compatible dimmer switch. The downlights run straight from the mains, with no driver or transformer.

Fitting

Cut a 75mm hole for each downlight. The loop in/out screwless terminal block lets you wire one fitting to the next before running back to the circuit, and the twist and lock ring makes lamp changes quick. The beam is fixed, so plan positions before cutting.

Insulation and cooling

Loft insulation can be laid loosely over the back as long as the lamp is 7w or less. The open can design lets heat escape from the lamp.

Where to fit them

They're rated IP20, so use them in dry rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, home offices and kitchens away from the sink.
