A discreet emergency downlight

This non-maintained emergency downlight stays off in normal use and comes on automatically when the mains fails, giving up to 3 hours of light so people can find their way out. The lighthead is only 50mm across and 16.5mm deep, so it sits quietly in a ceiling in offices, corridors, stairwells and shops.

Corridor or open area

The optic lens is interchangeable, to suit the space. Use the open-area lens for an even spread of light in rooms (140 lumens), or the corridor lens to throw the light along an escape route (160 lumens). The lenses can be swapped later if the layout changes.

Self-testing

The unit can test itself automatically, checking the battery and emergency operation, or you can switch it to manual testing. A test button and a green LED show its status at a glance, so checks are quick. It is DEKRA CB and CE approved.

Battery and light

A 3.2V 1500mAh LiFePO4 battery keeps the light steady through the emergency period. The light is cool white at 6500K, and the unit draws a maximum of 1.2W.

Fitting

The lighthead connects to a separate driver, which measures 260 x 36 x 26.7mm and sits in the ceiling void. It runs on AC220-240V and is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, at temperatures from 0 to 45°C. Have a qualified electrician fit it and check it against your emergency lighting plan.
